Adam Sandler's Co-Star Drops Bombshell Revelation Regarding 'Happy Gilmore 2' Development

Adam Sandler and Christopher McDonald, who acted together in the movie Happy Gilmore back in 1996, are talking about making a sequel. Christopher McDonald mentioned this during an interview on The Ken Carman Show. He said he recently met Adam Sandler, who showed him a rough draft of the script for Happy Gilmore 2. McDonald seemed excited about it and said that fans have been wanting a sequel for a while.

In the first Happy Gilmore movie, Adam Sandler played a character named Happy, who was a hockey player with a bad temper. He discovers he's good at golf, and the movie follows his journey as he joins the golf tour to win money to save his grandmother's house. Christopher McDonald played the role of Shooter Mc Gavin, a rival golfer.

Unfortunately, one of the other actors from the first movie, Carl Weathers, passed away recently. Adam Sandler shared his condolences on social media, remembering Carl as a great man.
