Interview with "Boy Meets World" Cast Regarding Their Previous Support for Brian Peck

Rider Strong, Will Friedle, and Danielle Fishel talked a lot about a person named Brian Peck on their podcast episode that came out on February 19. They usually talk about the TV show Boy Meets World on their podcast, but this time they focused on their experiences with Brian Peck. He appeared on a couple of episodes of Boy Meets World during season 5 and became friends with Friedle and Strong. Will Friedle shared that he used to spend a lot of time with Peck even after the show ended. He thought Peck was a funny and friendly guy who was good at his job. Even though Peck was much older than him, Strong also used to hang out with him often.

Danielle Fishel mentioned that some adults on the show might have avoided asking questions about their friendship with Peck because they were worried about being seen as homophobic. They didn't want to seem like they were against Peck just because he was gay. In 2003, Peck was arrested and later convicted of doing inappropriate things with a child. Friedle said Peck tried to make it seem like it wasn't his fault and blamed the victim instead. Friedle and Strong both wrote letters supporting Peck to the judge and went to court for his sentencing. But during the court proceedings, they realized they were on the wrong side, and the victim's mother pointed out how they brought famous people to support Peck but it didn't change what he did.

Friedle said they didn't know the whole story at the time, but it doesn't change the fact that they supported Peck. He said he couldn't find the right words to describe how he felt about everything that happened. Vulture tried to contact Peck for his side of the story, but they haven't heard back from him yet.
